  • 15:56, 19 March 2022 1.157.113.202 talk posted a new comment on X728 (OP here, the reason I am asking is that I tried to supply power to this hat through the port from a LM2968 buck convertor but the converter belw up. If I can't supply power in to the 5v XH2.54 connector, I will have to wire it in to the barrel jack (or maybe using dupont connectors straight on to the GPIO pins??????))

I can't find any script on how to set the fan speed to high/low: "GPIO16 for fan speed: HIGH => fast, LOW=> slow" "New added on V1.2". I don't know if it is running high or low now, but the case fan sounds as an airplane that is about to take off from my desktop. This is unacceptable. There must be a way to turn it off when not needed and only turn it on at very high temperatures. If there is a high and low settings too i really want to know how to change it between these two mode.)

When I turn it on from the blue button, it does turn on, and switches off normally, but im finding difficulties with the AON. When the device is off and is provided with power, it automatically switches on. But when electricity is lost (irrespective of how long) and is back on, AON switches on the device only on power cut and switches off when powered unless done manually in order to calibrate....)

I changed the command to sudo apt-get install -y python3-smbus And continued the install without it. When the install was complete the fan seems to run OK and xoff and the power work.)

Would anything disastrous happen if we were to do so ? And, why shouldn't we not use 18650 batteries with a built-in protection circuit. Isn't the protection circuit supposed to help with regulating charge and preventing over-heating?)
