The issue was with a faulty USB bridge. Tested with USB A-to-A cable and everything works fine now. Thanks Geekwork for the quick response.)

One little convenience is that if you have something in the same enclosure that needs to share the input voltage (in my case, it's a 12V USB hub) you can use the other input voltage connector - it's parallel with the power socket, and is NOT switched.)

The Pi boots normally but the screen's backlight just flickers intermittently and nothing displays on the screen. I went through the online setup script and rebooted afterwards, also doing an apt-get update too for good measure.)

However it doesn’t work when I plug a HiFiBerry DAC + Pro due to conflicts with GPIO. The Pi system just halts after the DAC kicks in from the script /etc/x730pwr.sh HiFiBerry states the GPIO18 the sound interface in hardwired on the Pi so it can’t be mapped onto another pin. GPIO18 is only used for software shut down $ x730off that I’m not going to use Reference script /usr/local/bin/x730shutdown.sh I have re mapped the GPIO4 and 17...)

When i run the code the battery voltage slowly drops from 4.22v to 4.17 whilst in a loop but power is supplied via the dc jack (5V 4A). When i unplug and plug in the power again the voltage goes back to 4.22V. Could anybody possible assist? Thank you)

Instead it does a halt, at least it seams that way. Before the Pi 4B responded normally. The sudo poweroff works normally, but I need a reboot from remote.)
