When the RPi starts to shut down, I get a "kernel panic - not syncing" error (systemd-shutdow Tainted) when the Auto ON function is enabled. I am running fresh Rasbian Buster with newest kernel 5.10.95, and have also tried with 5.10.63 - please help)
  • 05:02, 2 February 2022 74.133.1.244 talk posted a new comment on X708-Software (Just wanted to say that forcing things to /home/pi/ might not be the best idea in the world, especially if folks us something other than the Pi user account on the device. Might not hurt to put them somewhere else, then add wherever you put it to the path. I'm specifically talking about the x708bat.py and x708pid.py commands.)

  • 02:37, 28 January 2022 68.227.235.171 talk posted a new comment on UPS3 power off guide (Given GPIO 6 is connected on the POFF strap, if I drive GPIO 6 to logic 1 then power to the RPi is immediately turned off, correct? It seems that this would be an uncontrolled power off to the RPi. Is there a delay function for power off after a few seconds after GPIO 6 is asserted high, so that I can do a Linux shutdown command before the power switches off?)

I have no desktop environment - how to make this script run in the background via SSH? I have the X807 v.1.2 - as far as I can see there are no PLD pins to shorten. Can I run the AC power off/loss script anyway? Gives me currently an error: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/home/pi/x708pld.py", line 20, in <module> raw_input("Testing Star...)
