Hello, I am using a PoE and NVME hat. Can I still use a X1205 as UPS?

Yes, you can use them together.

You'll just need to check physical mounting compatibility, GPIO pin compatibility, and avoid any serial port conflicts. Also make sure your power supply is sufficient, since your setup has a relatively high load.

We don't have enough details to give a more precise answer. If you need further help, please email us at support@geekworm.com with a full description of your issue — ideally with photos or videos included.

Hi there! The X1205 doesn’t support this function for now, and we’d recommend you consider the X1206 instead.

The X12-UPS series has an auto power-off function when no Raspberry Pi 5 is detected, while the X1206 lets you set the "Always Power On" mode – it keeps working even when your Raspberry Pi is shut down.

Please refer to Interface ⑩ ALON in the picture[1].

You can also consider the [2]X-UPS1—it features a GPIO Pin-Connected standalone design (refer to the pic [3]) with high flexibility for installation and adaptation.

i bought the x1205 a few months ago, has been working fine until last week, when i started having shutdowns. i use it with geekworm dual nvme hat. i disconnected the board and sprayed contact cleaner, after which it was working ok for a day, then suddenly one of my nvme's dropped off. i previously had a similar issue with x1200 which is the reason why i upgraded

Hello! We’ve received your question. To pinpoint the issue, our first step is basic troubleshooting:

① What are the specifications of your power supply?

② Are there any other devices connected to this UPS?

We initially suspect the shutdown of only one NVME drive is due to insufficient power supply. We recommend trying a DC-powered power supply rated at 12V/3A or higher.

Based on the current information, we can only make a basic assessment—we’ll need your additional feedback to further identify the root cause (Contact us at support@geekworm.com if needed).
