Shorting Chg En charges the batteries very fast to 100%, and then it goes down to 93% in couple of hours and then it will be recharged again and repeats. Very fast cycle, I think it kills the batteries very fast. If I don't short, the batteries go down from 100% to 95% in a night time, so it is also very fast. From the last navigation, the UPS has a rare working. Normally when the power supply disappear, the OpenCPN close by a deamon then 5sec later the Ups shutdown the raspberry ans stop all. That's simple enough, and you already have a X1300-C1 case, so you just need a cutout for the rj45 controlling the remote machine's power.)
