- 04:04, 2 February 2024 154.56.240.46 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1002 (Whoops. Replied to wrong post. But in answer to your question...Yes, the X1002 supports 3.0, though Pi doesn't officially support more than 2.0. Its a matter of trying your SSD at 3.0 and seeing if its stable. Personally, I wouldn't risk it.)

From terminal I ran: sudo rpi-eeprom-config -e Added PCIE_PROBE=1 to the end of the file, saved file, rebooted. Blue light now on on X1002 and drive recognised by Pi.)

Amended config.txt OK. What should I be seeing with lspci, or what other way can I check its installed ok?)

Doesn't appear to be compatible. I see now that it has a Phison E21T controller, along with almost every other SSD I can find. I'll try the Lexar Play 1TB the other commenter successfully used.)

- 00:29, 31 January 2024 71.237.126.49 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on Raspberry Pi 5 Model B (Your site does not allow me to register. I am reporting POSITIVE information/news. I have purchased an rpi5, your nvme shield X1000 v1.5, AND a Sabrent Rocket Nano NVME PCIe Gen3x4 M2 2242 SSD (512 GB). It uses a PHISON PS5013 E13 NVME controller (rev 01). IT WORKS GREAT using dtparam=pci_ex1 (have not tried speeding it up). Hope this info is useful for your database. I noted that you had problems with Phison controllers in the past. Regards, Rick rstiphout@live.com)

- 10:12, 30 January 2024 162.221.219.52 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1001 (I reinserted the zif cable and now the WD_Black SN770 shows up on my desktop. However, I don't believe the test is using that drive, it is still terribly slow, like 60 MB/sec. So I think it is using the microSD.)

- 09:50, 30 January 2024 162.221.219.52 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1001 (I thought maybe I had just the wrong SSD, but I spent some more money and bought a WD_Black SN770 and though the test in both PCIE 2 and 3 modes give an answer, they are terribly slow and I suspect it is running the test on the microSD card and not the SSD. I don't think this is working at all.)
