Important Notes

  • The X1007 is designed for data storage purposes and does not currently support booting from HDD/SSD with the existing firmware.
  • Older SATA drives with less efficient flash media may not perform as well as newer drives
  • New SATA HDDs/SSDs are not partitioned and will need to be both partitioned and formatted when first connected to the Raspberry Pi before they will be accessed in the Explorer.

Overview

X1007 PCIe to 2 ports SATA HDD/SSD expansion board, designed to provide a mass-capacity storage and high-speed storage solution for your Raspberry Pi 5. This board facilitates the simultaneous connection of two 2.5-inch HDDs/SSDs, unleashing the full potential of your storage capabilities, with SATA 3.0 interface speeds reaching up to 5Gbps.

The X1007 connects to the underside of the Raspberry Pi 5, eliminating the need for a passthrough for the GPIO. This means you can use your favorite HATs while also utilizing this expansion board. Additionally, the X1007 and your HDDs can be powered from Raspberry Pi5 via pogo pins, streamlining the power supply to a single source.

The X1007 serves as the perfect storage solution for establishing a home media center or constructing a network-attached storage (NAS) system. It empowers you to store and stream your personal collection of videos, music, and digital photos within the confines of your home or remotely from anywhere around the globe..

If you don't have the housing for sale, share the 3D model (steep or cad) of NASPI 2.5, I will convert it for a 3D printer

Hi,The NASPi 2.5 Case does not support X1007, and the interface locations are inconsistent. You can refer to the X1007 board's dimensional diagram to DIY your own 3D enclosure.

My friend has a NASPI 2.5 case and I tried the x1007 on it. In width it must be widened by 1mm. The rear handle must have a LAN - USB port, mirrored. The rest fits perfectly.
