  • 15:33, 28 April 2025 45.152.30.133 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (Lisa. Thanks for the reply. I have the PSU_MAX_Current=5000 set. I didn't have the Halt set to 0 so that will prevent the Halt but it doesn't fix the problem of the under voltage flag and consequent throttling of the CPU. Fundamentally the supply voltage from the x1202 is marginal)

Please check the external load; Are any peripherals used?)
  • 01:46, 28 April 2025 45.152.30.133 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (I did a bit of digging and found the sample source in qtx120x.py and tweaked it to display to console. I can now see the Vcc value and it is fluctuating between 4.9 and 5.05V which seems a little close to the limit. Here is an example of my readings. ================================================== X120X UPS and RPi System Monitor ================================================== UPS Voltage: 4.210 V Battery Capacity: 103.0 % Charging: Disabled Input...)
  • 00:37, 28 April 2025 45.152.30.133 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (I have the X1202 with a Pi5 (4GB) mounted. I get occasional under voltage errors resulting in the Pi being throttled. Batteries are new, fully charged and it happens in both charging and fully charged states. I have tried with a Raspberry Pi5 PSU and also with a 12 5A PSU. The error continues to happen. I removed the Pi5 and cleaned the pogo pins but it has not helped. Any ideas? It seems to be very marginal as it can run for days sometimes and minutes others. Is the Vcc value availab...)
  • 12:32, 21 April 2025 Lisa talk contribs performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (Hello, you can use it. it is the maximum charging current for 4 batteries.)

  • 11:25, 21 April 2025 Lisa talk contribs performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (Hello,No, the key is the voltage. as long as the voltages are equal, the determining factor for the current is the battery.)
  • 21:09, 17 April 2025 193.171.201.194 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (Hello, I want to use the X1202 with SAMSUNG INR18650-35E akkus, that have a max charging current of 1500mA according to the specification document. Is the Battery charging current (Max 2.3-3.2A) of the x1202 damaging/dangerous with these akkus? Thank you for your reply.)
  • 10:45, 16 April 2025 Lisa talk contribs performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (Hi,Yes,but when the battery power is low, you need to charge the battery via DC or Type-C power supply.)
  • 11:56, 15 April 2025 71.163.243.242 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (Hi, can the X1202 or X1203 combined with the X708-A1 deliver a 5A output using only the 18650 battery pack, or is USB Type-C input required for that?)
  • 23:52, 14 April 2025 109.227.147.181 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (To avoid ticking noise use a 12,7v power supply. Anything under 12,7 volts force de buck dc-dc converter to increase voltage to full charge batteries (4.20v x 3) and the inductors will make that horrible noise.)
  • 17:30, 24 March 2025 188.27.44.169 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (No, the RPi IS 5. It is the GB/memory that is 4.)
  • 14:58, 24 March 2025 Lisa talk contribs performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (Hello,X1202 not compatible with RPi4.Are the other two X1202 also used with RPi4? Please email us with more details[support@geekworm.com]. and please note your order number.)
  • 22:21, 23 March 2025 188.27.44.169 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (Hello, I have an X1202 mounted on an RPi 4GB and it stopped working correctly. With or without the RPi mounted, the red charging led stays continuously always on (so it never blinks or goes off) even with the charging cable plugged in - USB or barrel plug. If I charge the batteries and put them into the device, they discharge overnight even with the RPi not mounted. I have noticed that the IP2312 chip and the SS34 rectifier and the 2R2 rezistors all get super hot just by plugging a battery in...)
  • 11:16, 13 March 2025 Lisa talk contribs performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (Hello,It is recommended that you perform a complete charging and discharging process on the battery. After a full charge, remove the power source and charge the battery after it is fully discharged. Train the UPS to memorize the charging and discharging process.)
  • 00:52, 13 March 2025 62.19.102.192 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (Hello, I installed the board on a Raspberry Pi 5 (8GB), but it doesn't work properly. When I disconnect the power supply, the state change is detected only after several minutes, and the battery percentage continues to increase. Similarly, when the status finally changes and I reconnect the power, the battery percentage keeps dropping. What am I doing wrong? Is there a firmware update available? At the hardware level, the LEDs seem to work correctly, both those indicating power status and bat...)
  • 04:27, 20 February 2025 188.27.33.102 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (OK, thanks!)
  • 16:38, 19 February 2025 Harry talk contribs performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (Sorry, We don't know the meaning of other touch points.)
  • 16:23, 19 February 2025 Harry talk contribs performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (My understanding is that you want to use X1202 alone. If this is the case, you can open/short the ALON jumper on X1206 to achieve this.)
  • 23:26, 18 February 2025 188.27.33.102 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (To be clear, I'm asking about TP7, TP42 and TP62 (assuming TP11 and TP12 are there to supply power).)
  • 23:08, 18 February 2025 188.27.33.102 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (Thank you for the info, but X1206 having the same pogo-pins, they raise the same question. :-) Or should I just ignore [non-GPIO], [non-3.3v "control"] and [non-USB-C-power] pins?)
  • 17:57, 17 February 2025 Harry talk contribs performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (If you want to use X1202 alone, you can consider using X1206, which should meet your needs.)
  • 03:21, 15 February 2025 188.27.33.102 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (Hello, Can someone point to some documentation, or list here, what the not-obvious pogo pins are for? By not-obvious I mean except for the GPIO ones, the 3.3v "control" pin (mentioned in FAQ "Q. How do you disable the X1202 auto-shutdown when you use it standalone (not installed on a RPi5)?") and perhaps the two which touch the power USB-C from below - which I assume supply the power.)
  • 11:53, 6 February 2025 97.176.141.219 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (Why am I getting the following when trying to register? Permission error You do not have permission to do that, for the following reason: You are not allowed to execute the action you have requested.)
  • 12:06, 2 February 2025 188.27.56.36 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (Yes, I know all that, I appreciate the answer, the question is which of the pogo pings supply the power (GND and 5V)?)
  • 13:22, 21 January 2025 66.235.15.173 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (I was wrong. On further testing, I think the GPIO16 driven high does disable the charger and does not continue raising the battery voltage. I previously incorrectly assumed two things: 1. I thought the board design would always be running the pi5 from battery voltage. This would be a simple "dual conversion" setup. Instead, the board appears to not run the pi5 from battery voltage when sufficient input power is available, even if the charger is disabled. This is great. 2. I incorrectly...)
  • 12:03, 21 January 2025 66.235.15.173 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (For completeness, I also tried both the USB-C x1202 input, and 12V into the DC input on the x1202. This didn't make any difference; the charging continued despite driving GPIO16 high and despite the CHG LED being off. The board seems to work well aside from not turning the charging off when GPIO16 is driven high.)
  • 11:06, 21 January 2025 66.235.15.173 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (On my x1202, driving GPIO16 high, the charging LED stops blinking (so the pogo pin is making contact with HW pin 36), but the actual charging doesn't stop. I have tried with the pin set as input with both "pull up" and "pull down", and with the pin set as output and driving it high vs low. Pulled high or driven high, the CHG LED stops blinking, but ... battery volts continue increasing until ~4.15V. Overall, I'm not sure if turning the charger on and off to zig-zag near a lower voltage is a...)

  • 05:14, 10 January 2025 177.19.217.247 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (Can I use this UPS on the OrangePi 5 Max?)
  • 23:53, 8 January 2025 86.87.123.160 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (To disable the auto-on / auto-power-on function, a resistor needs to be removed. The resistor shown for the X1202 (and probably for the x1201 too) is wrong. Removing the indicated resistor, you loose the ability to check for the power adapter being plugged in. The correct resistor is the one near the battery management controller (as shown for the X1200 , but I'm not sure).)
  • 14:28, 30 December 2024 Lisa talk contribs performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (Hi,It cannot measure current. you can read the battery level through software.)
  • 01:05, 30 December 2024 94.32.176.29 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (Hi, is it possible to measure battery current? Thanks!)
  • 10:28, 27 November 2024 Lisa talk contribs performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (If you want to use a UPS baord with RPi4, we recommend X728. If you want to use 4cell batteries or more, you can use X728 UPS+X708-A1 battery holder (supports 8cell 18650 batteries, you can also install only 1cell or 2 batteries). X1200/X1201/X1202 only support RPi5.)
  • 05:27, 27 November 2024 86.87.123.160 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (Well, I simply do use it in combination with an RPI4. SURE, BE WARNED that you can place only an RPI5 _ON_ the X1202; the pogo pins (except the ones of the GPIO header) are ONLY aligned for test pads of the RPI5! As far as I know, the X1202 is the only one where you have access (through I2C) to the battery voltage level; the mentioned X-UPS1 doesn't. AND even with an RPI 5, you MUST use an external device (in my case the RPI4) to monitor the battery level, as the X1202 itself doesn't (auto) s...)
  • 11:56, 26 November 2024 Lisa talk contribs performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (Anonymous user #29 :X1202 cannot be used alone and must be used together with RPi5.)
  • 04:27, 26 November 2024 86.87.123.160 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (Have a look at above "Q. How do you disable the X1202 auto-shutdown when you use it standalone (not installed on a RPi5)? ". The picture shows a note, to supply 3.3V to the shown pin.)
  • 11:55, 5 November 2024 Lisa talk contribs performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (X1202 noly support RPi5;please refer to X-UPS1 if you want use 4cells.)
  • 01:27, 5 November 2024 86.120.20.73 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (Hello, I would like something that has 4 cells. Neither X728 nor 729 have 4 cells. And I don't want to buy the 8 cell extension, that's too much. So any information on how to make this compatible with RPi4 would be much appreciated. By the way, does X1202 balance the cells when charging?)
  • 11:25, 4 November 2024 Lisa talk contribs performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (Hello,X1202 not support RPi4. please refer to X728 or X729)
  • 04:22, 3 November 2024 86.120.20.73 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1202 (I would like to use this with RPi4. I understand one of the pogo pins (near the RPi pins) needs to be connected to 3.3v to not shut down, to detect the RPi4. But can you share which are the power pogo pins to connect to the RPi4 power pins?)
