Good morning. Whereas I purchased X735 V3.0 and a quality 5V power supply; and I have read all documentation and understand set up.

May I cordially ask whether pressing the on-board 'blue power button' initiates the shutdown script in the same way as using a momentary switch plugged into JST PH 2.0mm?
