I would like to know this too.

Having a large range input would be useful and none of the official RPi 5 ones can cater for that.

I like the fact that the X729 combines 18650 holder and fan in this flat package that is compattible with both Pi3 and Pi4.

But is there a planned model/revision that has USB-C 5V input similar to the X708/x735?

Yes， it supports X708-A1 battery holder via（BAT: XH2.54 Port to External Battery）. But please pay attention to the correct wiring method, if it is reversed, it will burn the X729.
