FAQ
Q<div class="toccolours mw-collapsible mw-collapsed"><div style="font-weight:bold;line-height:1.0;">Q1:Why Raspberry Pi does the message "This power supply is randomly rebooting all the timenot capable of supplying 5A" appear on RPi 5??</div><div class="mw-collapsible-content">A:You X728/X729 UPS shield can follow the steps to test if the X728 issue:provide enough 5A power supply capacity;
aPlease set as follows:Take the X728 off from the Raspberry Pi, remove all the batteries, power supply, and all jumper caps. Then connect the battery or power supply, press the blue power button on X728, the blue LED should be on, and then press and hold the power button for more than 8 seconds, the blue LED should be off.(These steps indicate that the X728 has no issue.)
bStep 1:Please check (Required)Open the Teminal window based on Raspberry Pi OS and confirm if other device occupy execute the GPIO with X728.following command: sudo rpi-eeprom-config -eAdd <code>PSU_MAX_CURRENT=5000</code> at the end of the file that reads like this:
c
Press Ctrl-O, then enter, to write the change to the file.
Q: Why Press Ctrl-X to exit nano (the X728 V1editor).3 remove the ASD function?
AStep 2: Because the ASD jumper will generate some issues(Optional, so we remove the ASD jumper, but now if you can achieve ASD function by software. Read the voltage through I2C, use USB peripherals and then decide whether to shut down.require higher current)
Set <code>usb_max_current_enable=1</code> in /boot/firmware/config.txt
Q1: Why X728 V1Reboot your Raspberry Pi 5 to make the change take effect.2 automatically shuts down?
ANote: 1. X728 V1.2 will automatic safe shutdown when battery voltage is low than 3.0V If you are using other OS like Ubuntu, please charge in time;flash Raspberry Pi OS first, and then re-flash other OS such as Ubuntu etc after completing the above settings.</div></div>
