Hope this information helps: :*30 Pin: 1080P EDP IN, FFC-30PIN-0.5 :*40 Pin: 4K EDP IN, FFC-40PIN-0.5 Differential data pairs in the EDP cable should use twisted-pair wiring.)

- 18:18, 9 March 2026 Ruby talk contribs performed unknown action "comments/add" on EDP to HDMI Adapter (Hi there! 1. Is this compatible with 1920x1200 input? ==Yes, it supports 1920x1200 input. Just set your mainboard to force 1920×1200 output (the mainboard EDID defaults to 1920×1080 automatically). 2. Can I buy the customized part with 30-pin connector removed? ==The 40-pin connector works with both 2-lane and 4-lane. As long as ① your mainboard forces 1 eDP signal output, and ② the 40-pin wiring matches, you can use only the 40-pin connector — no need to remove the 30-pin connector.)

Some graphics cards may have compatibility issues, so we can’t guarantee the device will work right away. Additional debugging may be needed.)

I wanted to reply to your post about finding a suitable EDP-HDMI adapter for my laptop motherboard. The output resolution is 3840 × 2160 and the output signal is 4 lanes. Thanks!)

"Will the adapter support 4K 60 Hz from a laptop motherboard if the front 30 pin interface is desoldered?" >>==Not recommended—even if you desolder the front 30-pin interface, the screen may still fail to display. If you need a suitable EDP-to-HDMI adapter for your laptop motherboard, we’d be happy to help! Could you share a couple of details: ① What’s the output resolution of your laptop? ② How many lanes is your laptop’s output signal? With these, we could recommend a product...)

Will the adapter support 4K 60 Hz from a laptop motherboard if the front 30 pin interface is desoldered?)

Make sure both the battery and the voltage adapter are disconnected during the process. Once the connection is secure, you can energize the circuit; otherwise, you risk causing a short circuit.)
