Overview

X230 Raspberry Pi RS232 Seria Port + Real-time clock (RTC) Expansion Board for Raspberry Pi

Features

  • Useful communication board supporting the RS232 serial protocol
  • Control the Raspberry Pi over RS232 or connect to external serial accessories
  • Connected to the UART port on the Raspberry Pi using a MAX3232 interface
  • Allowing communication with RS232 compatible devices over a DB9 serial cable or with the use of a null-modem cable
  • Allowing terminal access with linux on the Raspberry Pi using a terminal application
  • The RS232 port can be accessed through the DB9 port or the screw terminals on the PCB
  • Battery backed real-time clock module for the Raspberry Pi
  • Keeps track of the time while the Raspberry Pi is switched off
  • Allows the Raspberry Pi to retrieve the current date and time when it is switched back on
  • Uses the most precise DS3231 RTC real time clock and a CR2032 battery to maintain the date and time
  • Perfect for datalogging, clock-building, time stamping, timers and alarms, etc.
  • Stackable with other Raspberry Pi accessory boards
  • A coin cell is required to use the battery-backup capabilities! We don't include one by default, to make shipping easier for those abroad

Packing List

  • 1 x X230 board (without button battery)
  • 1 x Install Screws pack
  • PS: the battery model is CR2032 (No include)
