Useful communication board supporting the RS232 serial protocol
Control the Raspberry Pi over RS232 or connect to external serial accessories
Connected to the UART port on the Raspberry Pi using a MAX3232 interface
Allowing communication with RS232 compatible devices over a DB9 serial cable or with the use of a null-modem cable
Allowing terminal access with linux on the Raspberry Pi using a terminal application
The RS232 port can be accessed through the DB9 port or the screw terminals on the PCB
Battery backed real-time clock module for the Raspberry Pi
Keeps track of the time while the Raspberry Pi is switched off
Allows the Raspberry Pi to retrieve the current date and time when it is switched back on
Uses the most precise DS3231 RTC real time clock and a CR2032 battery to maintain the date and time
Perfect for datalogging, clock-building, time stamping, timers and alarms, etc.
Stackable with other Raspberry Pi accessory boards
