Overview

The C792 is an HDMI to CSI-2 converter module with HDMI loop out that supports I2S audio output.

The HDMI input supports up to 4K 60Hz, and the HDMI loop out screen is consistent with the HDMI input screen.

CSI-2 output support up to 1080p 60Hz (4K screen will be automatically scaled to 1080p, the refresh rate remains unchanged).

is there a way to configure the GSV2001 to provide 720p to the CSI interface for capturing on older pi's regardless of the input resolution, or is it only able to scale 4k down to 1080p60 as noted above?

Looks like this is a limitation of the GSV2001 and not configurable. > 1.2.3 Internal Downscaler

> Scaler is only used to downscale 4k UHD timings to 2k FHD timings. The horizontal resolution and vertical resolution are both cut in half while frame rate remains the same.
