I think this system configuration X735 + X835 doesnt works well together. I have exactly the same setup, when i powered on the whole system, it seems my HDD died suddenly...and i got a smell of burning then. HHD died...

i changed the HDD, and i have the latching switch that dont work now, system boot up but latching switch just doesnt works. I think something when wrong for the X835 (or X735) when my first HDD burn.

i got much mail with geekworm for that, and im waiting for an answer, they assume they did test their boards before selling.

I dont think they are going to exchange the boards....
