Hi,

today received X855 and equipped it with EVO860 256 GB.

1st Try: I connect via USB2.0 cable to Ubuntu 18.04 PC.

The blue LED on X855 turns on
I hear a strange noise from the device (like a bee, comes from the metal box) -> I think this should not be the case
   Device is listed in lsusb
   fdisk returns "no media found"

2nd Try: I connect an USB Power cable with the micro USB plug on the X855 and connect via USB2.0 to Ubuntu 18.04 PC

The blue LED on X855 turns *not* on
The device is not shown in lsusb

3rd try: I connect X855 on Windows 10 PC with USB2.0 cable

   device is not shown

Can you please advise, if something is wrong with the device? I assume, when I connect the adapter with an normal PC and USB cable, I would be able to write and read from the device as a normal USB storage.

Attached output from Ubuntu:
