X1000
Overview
The X1000 V1.3 shield is an NVME M2 2242 SSD PIP (PCIe Peripheral Board) for the Raspberry Pi 5 that uses the new PCIE interface of the Raspberry Pi 5 to utilise the NVME M2 SSDs for fast data transfers and ultra-fast booting.
Model | Compatible with | NVMe M2 SSD Support |
---|---|---|
X1000 | Raspberry Pi 5 | Support 2230/2242 NVMe M2 SSD |
X1001 | Raspberry Pi 5 | Support 2230/2242/2260/2280 NVMe M2 SSD |
Features
- Compatible with other HAT shield;
- FFC is only 30mm length.
- Supports installation of official active coolers also;
- Dual LED Indicators:PCE: PCie - The LED will be on if the SSD is recognised; SSD - M.2 disk activity (“ACT”).
- Reserved space for POE module installation
- Supports 2230/2242 NVME M2 ssd only.
- Can Power the X1000 shield directly from the FFC PCIe ribbon (providing maximum 5W of continuous power)
- With 40pin pin header, it can automatically supply power from GPIO, avoiding the problem of insufficient power supply for ultra-large capacity SSDs.
PS:
The X1000 hardware has no limit on NVME SSD capacity, which is dependent on the Raspberry Pi OS
