Connecting the X725 UPS to the X735 Power Supply
* the X735 and X725 can not be used together. As I wanted to use the power management features of the X735 and the controlled fan.
I think you can try the followings.
1) Please remove the extended pin header from X725
2) Attach the X735 on top of X725, and X725 on top of X735
3) Use the 2-pin cable connecting “Vout” on X725 to “Vin” on X735
4) The 4-Pin header for “AUTO-ON” on X725 should be short.
4) Use the power button on X735.
*WOL on X725 is not functional.
* the WOL feature of the X725 can not be used if the raspberry pi was shut down via regular shutdown not initialised by X725 button or script
All boards were tested WOL before ex-factory. Please provide your detailed test procedure so we can check. The WOL can still be used even if the Raspberry Pi was shutdown (don’t use with X735).
* after regularly shutdown of the RPi not initialised by the X725 button or script. The X725 still provides power over the GPIO which leads to running the cooling fan after shutdown.
If you want to use X735 with X725, please follow above instructions.
* the X725 can not react to power loss of charger so that a safe shutdown will be initialised before running the battery low.
The X725 doesn’t support power loss detection. And it was not mentioned to support this function.
* the X725 can not start the RPi when the charger is plugged in but the voltage of battery is low
The pin header for “AUTO-On” should be short.

I am very disappointed with both product for the following reasons:
* the X735 and X725 can not be used together. As I wanted to use the power management features of the X735 and the controlled fan.
* the WOL feature of the X725 can not be used if the raspberry pi was shut down via regular shutdown not initialised by X725 button or script
* after regularly shutdown of the RPi not initialised by the X725 button or script. The X725 still provides power over the GPIO which leads to running the cooling fan after shutdown.

Therefore I definetly want to return the X735. If you can give me a discount for the X725 I would consider keeping it, otherwise I want to return that to because it is not working as intended.

Do you really need to return the X735 board and latching switch?
The return shipping fee maybe expensive, as for you requirement, maybe you can wait for the new products X728 to be released in the future.
