The recommended battery is an 18650, but this just specifies the shape. I think a 'standard' 3.7V battery should be perfectly acceptable so long as the connection is appropriate -- is this correct? In more depth, I think the only characteristics that actually matter about the battery are: 1. Battery has proper connector 2. Battery accepts charging voltage up to 4.23V 3. Battery will output 4.1V or above when fully charged 4. Battery accepts charging current ranging from 2.3 and 3.2 A

I would appreciate any corrections on the above, I'm not super familiar with batteries :)
