I don't quite understand if this board is: - LVDS source (from a laptop's motherboard) to an HDMI output (a screen LVDS interface) or - HDMI source (from anything like a DVD recorder) to a LVDS output (a salvaged screen)

telling that on the intro would certainly help many people.

I'm trying to transform old laptops into rack-mount servers. For people that would do the same, I also recommend searching on Google these words: "lack rack". Some case made of plastic will help you putting the motherboard nice and secure, letting you possibilities of punching holes to access connectors (plastic is easier to work with, you'll need less tools : a hot blade and some file would do).

happy DIY, fellas !
