The height restriction is a major bummer and makes the product useless for a number of use cases. A case with sufficient space for bigger disks would be great.)

The x1203 wiki states the battery charging current will be 2.3-3.2 mA. Have you found this to be an issue in your testing? When the combined power output rises, the "power loss detect" light starts intermittently flashing on the bottom board (not others), and the bottom batteries do not charge fully. The PSU is enough, I have tried with 1, 2 or 3 combined 5A/12V PSU and it's the same result. Latest pi firmware (Dec 2024 date). 256GB nvme from amazon that lspci shows as: KIOXIA Corporation NVMe SSD Controller BG5 (DRAM-less). The setup is very sensitive to the pcie cable used and pcie speed set in config.txt on the pi. My x1003 came only with the short gold/kapton color cable that (I think) has a ground plane on one side and the ground pins connected with vias to the ground plane. Look very closely at the cable to identify the vias....)
