This DC-DC Step-Down Converter Module is compatible with Raspberry Pi 5. It accepts 8–36V DC input and efficiently converts it to a stable 5V/5A or 5V/10A output—exactly matching the power requirements of your Raspberry Pi 5. Six intelligent protections

Protection Detail Note
Over-Current Protection

When the output current exceeds the set value, the output voltage gradually decreases until there is no voltage output.

If the startup load is too large instantaneously, over-current protection will be activated, resulting in no output voltage. Common in inductive loads such as motors, water pumps, etc.

Over-Temperature Protection

When the chip temperature exceeds 150°C, the power converter stops working and has no voltage output.

This temperature does not refer to the operating ambient temperature.

Short-Circuit Protection

Under normal use, an instantaneous short circuit between the positive and negative poles of the output terminal will not damage the power converter.

This protection applies to all buck products, buck-boost products, and isolated product series; boost product series do not have this protection.

Reverse Input Protection

Reversing the positive and negative poles of the input will not damage the power converter.

Waterproof Protection

All power converters are designed with waterproof potting technology.

Plays the role of waterproofing, dustproofing, and shockproofing.

Low-Voltage Protection

When the input voltage is lower than the set value, the output voltage gradually decreases until there is no voltage output.

Low-voltage protection can effectively extend the service life of batteries (battery bottles) and prevent over-discharge of batteries (battery bottles).
