Is there any way to power off the pi gracefully with the power-button?

Only by DIY. On mine I actually converted the power button into a push-release (by removing the latch) and then I wired it to GPIO pins 5/6 and wrote my own shutdown script that is put to run in the background when the Pi boots up.
