I've received your comment and take it very seriously, so I immediately double-checked with our technical team. ① First, my apologies — my earlier reply was not professional enough. The X1004 uses the ASMedia ASM1182e PCIe switch, which only supports PCIe Gen 2.0 (5Gbps) and does NOT support PCIe Gen 3.0 speeds. This may lead to certain compatibility issues. ② Recommended compatible SSDs: *'''Models with good PCIe Gen 2.0 compatibility and power consumption under...)

You say there are too many SSDs to list - I don't need a comprehensive list - just a couple would be fine. I also looked up Pi5 compatibility with SSDs and the Samsung that I tried is one that is cited as "Best Overall", albeit by AI.)

We apologize that we cannot provide a full compatibility list, as there are simply too many SSD models on the market for us to test individually. I have modified the firmware config file to add the dtparam. I ran the eeprom updater, its now at the Dec 2025 version. I've done the usual apt-get update/upgrade series, too.
