Hi there! Thanks for your questions about the Geekworm X1009. Here are the answers:

1. We haven’t tested whether the latest firmware supports booting from HDD/SSD yet.

2. It uses the JMB585 PCIe to SATA chip.

3. The SATA power connector (5V, 12V) is controlled by the Raspberry Pi’s 3.3V pin.
