Attempt to reseat the ups. Make sure the pogo pins are aligned correctly with each pin. Can you tell me if when you tunr it on, the LED thats labled "PI5" is on. that shows if the pi is detected. It can be tricky to know if the pins are aligned correctly, make sure theres a good connection. If it doesnt sense a pi connected to it, it will turn off after a few seconds as stated on the wiki.
