The X1100 looks really well designed. Especially a great combination with the X1100-C1 Metal Case.

It would be interesting to know whether the USB-SATA chip that is used supports the SSD function: TRIM (or UNMAP in SCSI terminology). According to the description, it is an unspecified “USB 3.1 Gen1 to SATA 6Gb/s bridge controller”, so it can at least be assumed that the controller supports the UAS (USB Attached SCSI) protocol.
