Hi,You can force it to Gen 3.0 (10 GT/sec). The Raspberry Pi 5 is not certified for Gen 3.0 speeds, and connections to PCIe devices at these speeds may be unstable. The Raspberry Pi Foundation is not responsible for PCIe 3.0 either, so we can't guarantee that every user can use PCIe3.0, because it doesn't depend on this expansion board.Hope to get your understanding.
