I am trying to install on the latest version of Raspbian - Bullseye - getting an error on the first line of the install 'sudo apt-get install -y python-smbus python'

Reading package lists... Done

Building dependency tree... Done Reading state information... Done Note, selecting 'python-is-python2' instead of 'python' Package python-smbus is not available, but is referred to by another package. This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or is only available from another source

E: Package 'python-smbus' has no installation candidate

Works OK on the previous version - any advice please?
