- 16:07, 27 November 2025 Ruby talk contribs performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1203 (Hi there! If you have a suitable battery holder and its interface/voltage meet the X1203’s requirements, it could theoretically work. But to be on the safe side, we don’t recommend this setup. For 21700 battery use, we suggest considering the X1209 instead (https://wiki...rm.com/X1209))

- 09:31, 6 November 2025 149.102.236.223 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1203 (I have connect with a 12V 3A power supply. My Pi and screen (connected to the 5V output) boot fine. I have new 4x18650 on the 2x5V inputs. The Red charging LED flashes, until eventually it stops (charged?), and all 4 green charge LED's are lit. But when I unplug the power supply, after a few seconds the Pi and everything else powers off.)
- 17:32, 5 November 2025 99.110.163.126 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1203 (One of the features listed is "Enhanced Power Management" > Enhanced Power Management: One of the standout features of the X1203 is its enhanced power management system. It intelligently monitors the power status of the Raspberry Pi and automatically cuts off power when the Pi is shut down. However, when I turn off the rpi5, I don't see the x1203 shutting down. At the very least, LED's are still running and draining the batteries. I'm sure it would be fine for a couple days as the batteries...)
- 12:32, 25 September 2025 Lisa talk contribs performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1203 (Hi,Generally, it is designed for 18650 batteries, with a flat head and no protection circuit. If used with lithium batteries, you can choose one with a protection circuit. Note:If using a lithium battery, the required voltage is 3.7V; if using a battery pack, please make sure it is a parallel battery pack. There are 2 XH2.54-2P battery connectors on board, it is recommended to use the same type of battery.)
- 11:59, 22 September 2025 99.110.163.126 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1203 (Sorry, I could have been clearer. My main question is: What characteristics should I evaluate to determine if some battery will work with this device? Is the list I provided a complete list? > X1203 support 3.7V lithium polymer battery I think this is a bit misleading -- almost all 3.7V LiPo batteries I see for sale have integrated protection circuitry, which would violate the listed requirements for the x1203. _Some_ 3.V liPo batteries are likely acceptable, but it looks to me that most ar...)

- 04:48, 20 September 2025 98.168.104.172 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1203 (The recommended battery is an 18650, but this just specifies the shape. I think a 'standard' 3.7V battery should be perfectly acceptable so long as the connection is appropriate -- is this correct? In more depth, I think the only characteristics that actually matter about the battery are: 1. Battery has proper connector 2. Battery accepts charging voltage up to 4.23V 3. Battery will output 4.1V or above when fully charged 4. Battery accepts charging current ranging from 2.3 and 3.2 A I woul...)
- 14:59, 30 August 2025 Lisa talk contribs performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1203 (Both [BAT] XH2.54 ports can be used simultaneously, and there's no limit on the number of batteries used. However, they must be connected in parallel, and batteries of the same specifications are strongly recommended.)

After restart the battery charging led is still flashing. Thanks Also, is there a battery capacity limitation ? Can I plug 4 18650 in parallel to each xh254 pin ?)

- 22:00, 13 April 2025 108.48.186.159 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1203 (I have the X1203 connected properly with two new battery packs. qtx120xTerminal.py shows the battery charging properly - and reach 100%, but whenever I unplug the power supply the pi and x1203 immediately lose power. After I restart it shows the battery as if it were discharged, until it reaches 100% again. I have tried leaving the system charging over night. In the morning, the charging light had stopped blinking, but qtx12xTerminal.py reported the batter at 0% Now it shows: ==========...)

The note says the voltage range must be 3.00~4.10 VDC. I'm wondering if it's okay to set it to a lower voltage, like 2.8V. I'm not using a battery — it's powered directly with a 12V 3A adapter. ****************** Voltage: 4.20V Battery: 15% Battery Low ****************** Voltage: 4.20V Battery: 15% Battery Low ****************** Voltage: 4.20V Battery: 16% Batt...)

- 11:51, 3 January 2025 Lisa talk contribs performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1203 (Hello:) Sorry, X1203 does not support changing the charging current via GPIO. we recommend that you replace the battery.)
- 09:43, 3 January 2025 24.78.121.199 talk performed unknown action "comments/add" on X1203 (Hello :) The Samsung 35E 18650 spec sheet states that the maximum charging current is 2000 mA with a recommended charging current of 1700 mA. The x1203 wiki states the battery charging current will be 2.3-3.2 mA. Have you found this to be an issue in your testing? I was also wondering if you can explain more about "Battery charging control can be managed via GPIO". Thank you.)

I am typing this comment on my RPI5 8GB with the X1203 while plugged into a 12 volt outlet (13.8 volts). I first tested this on my 12 volt power supply (13.8 volt) that I use to power my 2 meter ham radio. Work Well! MJ)
