Overview

Designed specifically for the Raspberry Pi 5, this high-performance 27W power module delivers stable and efficient 5V/5A power through dual input methods and dual output interfaces. It ensures reliable operation for power-intensive applications and includes built-in protection and customization features.

Features

Dual Input Flexibility: Supports two input methods, using either input method based on your available equipment.

  • USB-C PD Input: Connects to a Power Delivery (PD) adapter for an automatic handshake to request 12V input.
  • DC 5.5x2.1mm Input: Accepts a wide voltage range of 9-15V/9-24V from a standard DC power supply.

High-Current Dual Output: Provides a combined output of over 5A through two convenient ports, perfect for powering your Raspberry Pi 5 and additional peripherals simultaneously.

  • USB-C Output
  • USB-A 2.0 Output
  • Output Voltage Trimming: Equipped with a trimming jumper. Removing the jumper allows you to raise the output voltage by approximately 0.2V to compensate for voltage drop under high load.
  • Integrated Active Cooling: Includes a standard fan for optimal thermal management. The fan is automatically unnecessary for loads below 3A, ensuring quiet operation during lighter tasks.
  • Enhanced Protection & Mounting: Comes with a standard 3D-printed base for secure tabletop placement and protection of the unit.

To compensate for cable voltage drop, a jumper is provided:

  • For the 9-15V version, removing the jumper increases the output voltage by +0.2V.
  • For the 9-24V version, shorting the jumper increases the output voltage by +0.2V.

Packing List

  • 1x Power PD Activation Module for Raspberry Pi 5

By using this, will my Pi consider it as an actual PD connection and provide 1.6A in the USB ports?

Yes, this is a power module specially designed for the Raspberry Pi 5 with 5V 5A handshake protocol.

Please note:

  • The USB‑A port has no CC signal and cannot do PD negotiation with the Pi.
  • The USB‑C port has CC signal, supports PD negotiation with the Pi.
