Hi,
So when you shutdown, how do you do it? By pressing the button for more then 3 secs or do you select shutdown in the menu? In case you are shutting it down by using Retropie, so this is the reason it is not working. But, the switch should be working. To be sure the script as installed check:
in the /etc/rc.local check if there is a line that looks like this on the bottom "/etc/x730pwr.sh &"
in the /etc/ check if there is a file called "x730pwr.sh"
and finally, check if inside /usr/local/bin/ there is a file called "x730shutdown.sh"
if some of these are missing the script was not completely installed
oh btw check if your gpio is updated with "sudo apt-get install rpi.gpio"
