Thank you! I am working on a project to reuse an old laptop motherboard that outputs the 1080p, and I will be using this waveshare model that accepts HDMI input for my display. I already have a solution to power this board, I wanted to reuse the backlight power from the original motherboard to power a 12V fan for a custom cooling solution by stepping down the 19.5V backlight power from the original connector. I plan to solder the backlight power pins to the fan power wire. I was just wondering if there will be any problems with output resolution of 1200x800, as I do not have any other solution in this project to input 12V to the DC barrel jack of the other board you referred me to.
