Update:

I'm suspecting that the fully charged batteries are not delivering the full 5v charge to the Pi, but the X1201 does step up a USB-C charge to 5v.

-The pogo pins appear to be seated correctly. -When I run ic2detect, the Pi recognizes the x1201 at address36. -When I power the X1201 via USB-C (either 3v or 5v), the PI5 LED lights, and the Pi powers up. -When I power the Pi directly via 5v USB, the X1201 PI5 LED lights

But when the X1201 is not connected to USB-C power, if I press the X1201 power button, the 5VO button lights, and the Pi5 button lights briefly and then goes dark. The Pi itself lights green and then shuts down and lights red.

The Pi exhibits the same behavior when I try to power it up with insufficient USB-C power - it briefly lights green but then shuts down and the light turns red.

How can I make sure that the X1201 delivers a full 5v when it is just using battery power?
