It would be interesting to know whether the USB-SATA chip that is used supports the SSD function: TRIM (or UNMAP in SCSI terminology). Due to a failed SSD I had rebuild a system which has been running for over 4 years. After replacing the failed SSD, I installed the latest Raspberry Pi OS (Bookworm) then installed the x730 script per the above instructions.
