Overview

The X15-POE1 is a Power over Ethernet (PoE) Head-At-Board (HAT) specifically designed for the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 (CM5) , requiring use with either the X1500 or X1501 IO boards. Compliant with the IEEE 802.3af/at (PoE+) standard, this board can draw up to 25.5W of power from a compatible PoE switch via a single Cat5e/Cat6 Ethernet cable, simultaneously providing stable operational power and network connectivity for the CM5.

Featuring an advanced dual-output design, the board supplies 5V power to the CM5 while providing an independent 12V output. This output can drive peripherals such as fans, displays, or motors. This eliminates the need for an additional external power supply, simplifying system integration and reducing clutter.

Features

  • Standard Compliance : IEEE 802.3af & 802.3at (PoE+)
  • Input Voltage Range : 36–57V DC
  • Device Classification : Class 4
  • Dual Output Power Rails :

5V DC / 5A (25W max) delivered via the 40-pin GPIO header.

12V DC /2.1A (25W max) delivered via a dedicated 2-pin XH2.54 connector.

Note:Total maximum combined output is 25w (subject to input power limits).

  • Fully Isolated Power Supply: Utilises isolated Switching Mode Power Supply (SMPS) topology for safety and reliability
  • Simplified Cabling: Single cable simultaneously addresses power delivery and network connectivity, providing robust power for peripherals
