The X1509 does not support system boot from SATA drives under the current CM5 firmware version.
The function, Automatic Drive Power Cut-off, only works with DC power input, not supported via the 4-pin ATX connector.
When 8× 3.5" HDDs are powered on simultaneously, the inrush current reaches 16A. DC power is not applicable; please use an ATX power supply only.
Over-voltage will permanently damage your hard drives! Please choose your power supply carefully.
Overview
This X1509 board supports 8 SATA ports, delivering a high-speed and high-capacity storage solution for Raspberry Pi CM5. It reaches a total storage capacity of up to 176TB (22TB per single drive).
Designed with a compact form factor, it is equipped with multiple peripheral ports for extensive expansion.
Built-in high-efficiency DC/DC step-down converter provides a stable 5V 12A output. A single power supply is sufficient to power both the CM5 module and all connected SATA storage devices.
Ideal for building home media centers, personal NAS systems and CCTV video storage servers.
