<p><b>New page</b></p><div>The recommended battery is an 18650, but this just specifies the shape. I think a 'standard' 3.7V battery should be perfectly acceptable so long as the connection is appropriate -- is this correct? <br />
In more depth, I think the only characteristics that actually matter about the battery are:<br />
1. Battery has proper connector<br />
2. Battery accepts charging voltage up to 4.23V<br />
3. Battery will output 4.1V or above when fully charged<br />
4. Battery accepts charging current ranging from 2.3 and 3.2 A<br />
