Migrated comment #6254

New page

I had following configuration: Raspberry Pi 4b, x735 v2.5, 2x x828 v1.2 one with an SSD, the other with a HDD, x825 case, OS: Newest Raspberry Pi OS light. Hardware fully functional, could not install scripts properly (most probably because of OS).

I newly bought a x735 v3.0, and installed the hardware.

Now the scripts run well but the HDD does not start anymore when using DC jack at the x735, even with x828 internaly connected over XH2.54 connector. Using the DC jack at x828, the system starts properly , but of course no (or limited) powerbutton-functions. I replaced the formerly used DC power adapter with a stronger one (5v/6A) as recommended. Connected with x735, HDD is still not starting. Using USB C Power at X735 the system starts, the HDD is functional but I get frequent warnings "Undervoltage detected".

I would be happy if you could give advice how to power this configuration best.

With kind regards,
