<p>Migrated reply #4048</p> <p><b>New page</b></p><div>Yes, I understand that you cannot input 5V on the 2.0 board, that was not my question.<br /> <br /> You are basically telling me that after buying a 50$ V1.3 board that is not working as intended (plus a power supply, shipping and taxes), I should either buy new HDDs or a new 2.0 board.<br /> <br /> I&#039;m not really thrilled by this idea, and my goal was to know if there was a way to modify the 1.3 board to help solve the issue (I have access to some equipment and could for exemple build a power supply). I understand that this may not be possible, and even that if it is possible it would not be easy nor guaranteed to work.<br /> <br /> But the other possibilities for me would be to either buy a 2.0 board (with no guarantee that it would be better) or some HDD (for lower performance, but i could allow that, but again how to be sure that this investment would solve the issue?), or drop the project altogether.&lt;!-- migrated from Comments; original IP: 195.220.58.237 --&gt;</div>
