For me this was NOT the case for my WD SN580.<br />
Even after upgrading to latest jan 2025 eeprom the drive does not run stable.<br />
Yes it boots now, and from time to time seems to work. But after some time you see numerous I/O errors which makes the drive completely inaccessible.<br />
It never runs for more than 24 hours, requiring a reboot for it to start working again.<br />
This makes it useless for Home-Assistant where it should run reliable for longer periods of time.<br />
