New page

Well creating a Frankenstein cable isn't really an option unless I want to keep the top to the case off, which I don't. The cable has no way to pas trough from internal to an external micro USB port. I bought the case so all the parts would be enclosed.

So to test your theory I plugged in a separate power supply I have for a Pi Zero into the 850 micro USB port. With that installed it will shut down and boot up without having to go through the process of the 8 second shutdown . It does not however explain why after the 8 second shutdown it will boot up but not immediately after a soft shutdown without the extra power supply.

Apparently if Amazon had shipped me the v3.1 of the 850 board it would have an internal 5v connector and this would not be an issue. I'd be happy to swap my v3.0 board for a v3.1 if Geekworm is amenable. I'm not happy with this board since it cannot get enough power through the USB to work as expected.<!-- migrated from Comments; original IP: 96.32.232.110 -->
